Mr McGee and the Biting Flea
Presented by Adelaide Festival Centre
Space Theater
16 -20 April (school holidays)
Written by Pamela Allen
Published by Penguin Books Australia and licensed by Tim Curnow, Sydney Australia
Much loved children's stories by Pamela Allen emerge from dozens of suitcases and crates as three curious warehouse workers transform a storeroom into enchanting little miracles of music and play.
This charming, frenetic, theatrical production features adaptations of Pamela Allen's stories: Mr McGee, Alexander's Outing, Belinda, Brown Bread and Honey, Mary Elizabeth's House and Mr McGee and the Biting Flea.
Using an assortment of props and found objects, the three performers bring the stories to sweet, musicinfused life while offering powerful connections to the inner lives of children.
This multi-award winning production by South Australia's Patch Theatre Company has been enchanting children around Australia since 2007.
